The company is giving added focus to all aspects of its sustainability program in line with L\u2019Or\u00e9al Group\u2019s Sustainability Ambitions. The goal is to offer consumers reliable products with values and sustainability and create beauty of the future.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u2019Or\u00e9al<\/strong><strong> for the Future<\/strong> has determined a series of ambitious targets to transform L\u2019Or\u00e9al\u2019s business and brands consistent with the planet\u2019s capacity to cope, and to fight climate change as defined by the \u201cScience-Based Targets\u201d initiative<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a>. All packaging will now be either reusable, recyclable or compostable.<\/li>\n<li>Garnier Sakura Water-Glow Essence is the first Garnier product in Thailand with packaging made from 100% PRC plastic, which is completely recyclable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Greener Sciences Formula<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By 2022, all plant-based and renewable ingredients will be sustainably sourced.<\/li>\n<li>By 2025, every new Garnier product will have a better environmental profile. Garnier will create high-performance formulae more respectful to the environment, with the aid of Green Sciences such as biotechnology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>More renewable energy <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100% Carbon Neutral industrial sites by 2025, through the use of renewable energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>More Solidarity Sourcing<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By 2025, Garnier will have empowered 800 communities worldwide with ingredient sourcing, as part of L\u2019Or\u00e9al Group\u2019s Solidarity Sourcing program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Cruelty-Free International Approved <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Garnier has committed to a world free of product animal testing since 1989. All global Garnier products are now officially cruelty-free. As part of this, Garnier will promote plastic recycling by partnering with Watsons to place recycling machines in key Watsons stores. Consumers can drop recyclable plastic packaging of any beauty products or water bottles to redeem a Garnier product at Watsons. The brand will also transform over 500 point of sales to paper shelfs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carbon Neutrality Sites &amp; Green Operations <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All of L\u2019Or\u00e9al\u2019s sites have a global goal to achieve carbon neutrality by improving energy efficiency and using 100% renewable energy by 2025.
